Festive events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table were held in the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. JINR continued celebration of the holiday that was launched in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, then continued in Moscow, and now in Dubna.

On 30 – 31 May 2019, the International Symposium “The present and the future of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements” was held in the Joint Institute. The Symposium was organized in the frames of celebrations of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. The event is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the periodic law and the development of the periodic table of chemical elements.
