On 29 January 2018, the International Winter School “Partition Functions and Automorphic Forms” will be launched at BLTP JINR.

The School is held for the first time, and it is one of the events organized in the framework of the regular DIAS-TH programme. The School is organized by the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics JINR jointly with International Laboratory for Mirror Symmetry and Automorphic Forms, NRU HSE (Moscow).

Lectures on the following topics will be delivered by leading scientists in the framework of the School:

• Hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras and quantum gravity,
• Superconformal indices and instanton partition functions,
• Moonshine, Jacobi forms, elliptic genus, and string theory,
• Feynman integrals and modular functions,
• Theory and applications of the elliptic Painleve equation

The programme of lectures will be supplemented with additional reports on some topical issues of considered scientific fields. Furthermore, evening discussion sessions will be organized to hear, in particular, reports by young participants of the School. School participants will be graduate students, postgraduate students and young scientists from Russia and other countries. There will be about 80 participants from Armenia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, USA.
