On 27 August, Moldova, a Member State of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, celebrates its national holiday, the Independence Day.

Moldavian scientists from seven scientific and educational organizations cooperate with JINR on seven topics of the Topical Plan for JINR Research and International Cooperation. Joint activities include the creation of the NICA Accelerator Complex and applied research at NICA, development of the MSC-230 Proton Medical Cyclotron and the JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex, neutron studies, the TARDISS Project on using tardigrade proteins for protection against physical and chemical stresses, and personnel training.

The Directorate of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research congratulates Moldavian colleagues and partners, as well as their relatives, on the Independence Day and wishes them good health, happiness, well-being, luck, and new professional successes for the benefit of science and progress.
