Mini lectures by JINR scientists dedicated to Day of Women in Science

The JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone interested to a series of mini lectures in 15×4 format dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrated on 11 February.

Scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research will talk about their work:

  • Inga Zinicovscaia, Doctor of Chemistry, Head of the FLNP Neutron Activation Analysis and Applied Research Sector: “15 minutes about volcanoes and air”.
  • Daniya Zinatulina, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, a senior researcher at the DLNP Weak Interactions Sector of the Experimental Department of Nuclear Spectroscopy and Radiochemistry: “15 minutes about why muons are not just an inconvenience, but also help to us”.
  • Alexandra Friesen, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, a senior researcher at the BLTP Relativistic Nuclear Physics Sector at the Scientific Department of Nuclear System Theory: “15 minutes about quark-gluon plasma”.
  • Oksana Streltsova, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, Head of the MLIT JINRSector of Heterogeneous Computing and Quantum Information Science of the Scientific and Technical Department of External Communications and Distributed Information Systems: “15 minutes about artificial intelligence in applied research”.
