The JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone interested to the “Megaphone of Science” event.

“Megaphone of Science” is an informal popular science event. It is a competition between scientists aimed at a broad audience. Its task is to popularize science and scientific knowledge and thinking.

The speakers will dwell into their work in simple terms:

• Alexander Voropai, a Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Nanotechnologies and New Materials at Dubna University. The topic of the report is the possibilities of improving batteries and their prospects in the future.
• Ekaterina Shipilova, a junior researcher at LRB JINR. The topic of the report is ionizing radiation.
• Alexander Madumarov, the Head of the Chemistry of Transactinides Sector at FLNR. The topic of the report is the study of the chemical properties of superheavy elements in the area of the so-called “island of stability”.
