Lecture on Miyazaki’s symbolism

The JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone interested to listen to the lecture titled “Spirits, ghosts, and gods: magical inhabitants of Miyazaki’s worlds” by Nina Voronina.

The speaker will talk about symbolism in Hayao Miyazaki’s cartoons: Japanese beliefs, spirits, gods, and traditions featured in his works.

Nina Voronina, Japanese cultural studies specialist and anthropologist of religion, graduate of Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Waseda University, Japan.
