The JINR Universal Public Library and educational space “Prodlyonka” invites everyone interested to a lecture “Arctic: when ice will melt”.
Alexander Osadchiev, oceanographer, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, leading researcher of the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of Russian Academy of Sciences is a lecturer.
The Arctic, the “weather kitchen” for the Northern Hemisphere, is changing so fast just before our eyes. Air temperature increases sharply, the sea ice surface is reduced. What is happening in the Arctic now and what forecasts do scientists make for the future?
