On 8 August 2019, an international scientific seminar dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Professor Igor Anatolievich Golutvin was held in the International Conference Hall. In his opening speech, JINR Vice-Director M. G. Itkis noted the main stages of the scientific career of the hero of the day and awarded him Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” of the 2nd class.

A. V. Zarubin, R. Karlin, M. Guzevich, P. de Barbaro, I. M. Dremin, O. V. Teryaev presented scientific reports at the seminar. All of them were devoted to modern experimental methods in particle physics and their development, new physical programmes which will be the challenges for I. A. Golutvin and his colleagues.

Partners, friends and pupils of I. A. Golutvin congratulated him. Among them were President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Plenipotentiary Representative of Uzbekistan at JINR B. S. Yuldashev, Plenipotentiary Representative of Ukraine at JINR, Academician B. E. Grinev, Chief Designer of F FSUE NIKIET named after N. A. Dollezhal (until 2012) V. P. Smetannikov, Director General of the Russian Academy of Engineering Sciences named after A. M. Prokhorov A. A. Sobko who presented I. A. Golutvin the Order of A. M. Prokhorov of the 1st class, a representative of the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences N. V. Krasnikov, Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Nuclear Problems of the BSU (Minsk), a representative of the Belarusian group of the CMS experiment V. Makarenko, Directors of JINR laboratories V. V. Korenkov, D. I. Kazakov and other participants of the seminar.
