On 19 July 2018, the first meeting of the Council for the priority field of the RF scientific and technological development strategy, namely “Shift to digital, intelligent production technologies, robotic systems, new materials and design methods, creation of big data processing systems, machine learning and artificial intelligence”, will be held in the Conference Hall of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow.

This Council, established due to the Government Decree #16 of 17 January 2018, is headed by RAS Academician Kalyaev Igor Anatolievich. Twenty-five leading scientists having significant scientific or scientific-technological results, business representatives and representatives of federal executive bodies and state corporations are members of the Council. It is worth mentioning that Director of the Laboratory of Information Technologies JINR Vladimir Vasilievich Korenkov is also a member of the Council.

Agenda of the meeting includes consideration and discussion of several draft concepts of a complex scientific and technological programme dedicated to the latest digital technologies.

Information on activities of all the councils for priority fields of the scientific and technological development strategy, including analysis findings and accepted decisions, will be published on the official web-site of the Srategy.

The major goal of the Council is expert identification, selection and establishment of programmes and projects aimed at implementation of the priorities of the scientific and technological development strategy of the Russian Federation and evaluation of implementation results, as well as drafting of proposals for implementation of state policy in the fields of the Council’s activities.

The scientific and technological development strategy of the Russian Federation was confirmed by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation #642 of 1 December 2016.
