“JINR Legendary Machines. Synchrophasotron” lecture

The JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone interested to the “JINR Legendary Machines. Synchrophasotron” lecture. This is the first of the two lectures about the first JINR Basic Facilities dedicated to the JINR Foundation Day.
The speaker is Sergei Merts, Leading Researcher of the VBLHEP Scientific and Experimental Department of Baryonic Matter at Nuclotron, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics. He will talk about the history of the creation of the second accelerator and the scientists who developed it, about the structure of the machine and its significance for the development of high-energy physics, as well as about the new accelerators of VBLHEP at JINR: the NICA and the Nuclotron.
