Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia

21 September marks the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, a Member State of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The Republic of Armenia, as a part of the USSR, joined JINR since its foundation, and it has continued to cooperate as a sovereign republic since 1992.
The agreement on cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and JINR has been in force since 2013. The collaboration covers joint research on particle physics, nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, materials science, nanotechnology, and energy. Armenian employees are also interested in IT and JINR educational programmes.
The Institute’s Directorate congratulates Armenian colleagues on Independence Day and wishes them and their families good health and well-being, successful work, scientific achievements, and discoveries for the benefit of science and progress!
