Independence Day of Georgia is a national holiday of the JINR Member State celebrated on 26 May to commemorate the independence achieved by the Republic in 1918.

Georgian scientists have been actively involved in the work of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research since its foundation, making a significant contribution to the Institute’s science programmes. Nowadays, JINR is actively cooperating with scientific organizations of Georgia. Employees of the country participate in the Institute’s educational programmes and conferences on information technology, seminars on high energy physics, and other events. Georgian scientists are taking part in the creation of the NICA Accelerator Complex.

The Directorate of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research congratulates Georgian colleagues and partners, as well as their relatives, on the national holiday and wishes them good health, happiness, well-being, and new professional successes for the benefit of science and progress.
