On 22 March, at 5:30 PM, the Museum of History of Science and Technology of JINR invites everyone interested to the Historical and scientific seminar “From “Eastern” to “Joint”: JINR as a science diplomacy phenomenon” dedicated to the JINR Foundation Day. The lecturer is Irek Suleymanov, International Cooperation Advisor to JINR Director.

This lecture is an attempt to look at the history of the establishment of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research through the prism of the theory of science diplomacy. Based on the analysis of historical documents, the speaker will consider the formulation of the Institute’s concept developing from a regional scientific laboratory into a global international research centre.
