On 27 March 2023, a programme of the visit of the Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” included a work meeting with the JINR Directorate and a tour of the scientific infrastructure of the Institute.

Alexey Likhachev visited the site of the NICA Megascience Project, at which he became acquainted with the construction of the collider and the MPD Facility. In addition, the Head of Rosatom visited the DC-280 Cyclotron, a key facility of the Superheavy Element Factory. Participants of the meeting at the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions discussed the development of cooperation between JINR and Rosatom on a number of joint projects.
