Grigory Trubnikov made a report at the CIS Scientific Council meeting

At the 27th regular meeting of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation of the CIS countries, a number of decisions on the development of cooperation were taken. A special representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia for international scientific and technical cooperation, JINR Director-elect Grigory Trubnikov took part in the meeting on behalf of the Russian party.
Chairman of the Council and the State Science and Engineering Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus in JINR Alexader Shumilin chaired the event.
Grigory Trubnikov in his report spoke about the current state and main fields of the scientific and technical development of Russia, the implementation of the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation, the programme “National technological initiative”, the programme “Megaprojects”, as well as reported on Russian development of vaccines against the new coronavirus infection.
Members of the Council and members of the international group of developers of the Interstate Programme on Innovative Cooperation among the CIS Member States until 2030 (Interstate programme) summed up the results of the Interstate programme, which was in force until 2020. During the time of its implementation, a number of results have been achieved: a working mechanism has been formed to implement interstate projects, the legal framework has been established for successful interaction of participants, the innovative infrastructure is under development. The issues of further international coordination of cooperation in the indicated realms were discussed, in particular, participants discussed the digitalization of innovative activities. Participants of the event noted the necessity in the further development of the implementation mechanism of the Interstate programme, in particular, in the formation of Complex plans for its implementation. As Alexander Shumilin noted the new programme of innovative cooperation between the CIS countries has become more flexible and adaptive to present-day realities.
It was decided after the Council’s deliberations to give the NRC “Kurchatov Institute” the status of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for the development of the research mega-science infrastructure. Participants also decided to provide the Engineering Centre of the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support of Scientific and Technical Spheres with the status of the Centre of commercialization of innovations of the Member States of the Interstate programme. Moreover, it was decided to continue updating the regulatory framework for scientific and technical cooperation within the CIS.
Participants of the Council paid special attention to the measures taken to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
