The Russian Academy of Sciences and FGUP (Federal State Unitary Enterprise) «Nauka Publishers» decided to open free access to the archives of RAS journals, including those of 2017, that were published by “Nauka Publishers” under the agreement with RAS. Free access to online versions of journals will be available on elibrary.ru and libnauka.ru platforms (online library of “Nauka Publishers”).

Earlier, on the elibrary.ru platform, there was free access to RAS journals dated only until 2014. Moreover, all RAS journals, including current issues, are available to academicians, corresponding members and professors of RAS. The decision to widen free access will provide scientists with up-to-date scientific information.

Considering existing agreements between FGUP «Nauka Publishers» and RAS journals distributors, free access to online versions of RAS journals dated 2017 is available only for reading. Full free access to online versions with possibility to download pdf versions of articles will be available 12 months after the article’s publication.

According to the scientific community, readers and authors’ opinion, RAS journals are among the best in Russia. Most of them are cited in such established bibliographic databases as Web of Science and have the international impact factor JCR (Journal Citation Report).
