The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research pays much attention nowadays to the issue of training young specialists in the light of the implementation of mega-projects. For this aim, the Institute establishes JINR-based departments in leading universities of the country. The Department of Nuclear Physics Materials Science was founded two years ago in the Institute of Physics of the Kazan Federal University.
