On 18 April 2025, at 6:00 PM, the JINR Mir Cultural Centre invites everyone interested to a meeting with Yuri Oganessian and a screening of the Element of Knowledge documentary dedicated to the living legend, the world-renowned scientist, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific Leader of the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions at JINR.

In the film, Yuri Oganessian talks about his life and path in science, the search for the island of stability of superheavy elements, and the Superheavy Element Factory at FLNR at JINR. One of the questions that the documentary answers is “What element of fate or personality helps a person achieve what millions of people dream of – to leave their mark on history?”.

The admission is free. The 55-minute film will be followed by a Q&A session with Yuri Oganessian.
