JINR Cultural Centre “Mir” invites everyone interested to the Dubna cosplay festival “AtomCosCon – 2024” that will take place on 14 June 2025 at 12:00 PM.

The term “cosplay” was first coined by Japanese journalist Nobuyuki Takahashi in 1984, who combined two English words, “costume” and “play”. Therefore, cosplaying can be literally understood as “costumed play”.

The programme includes:

• cosplay show contest, which will bring together over a hundred cosplayers from various regions of Russia;
• meeting with popular and professional cosplayers;
• fair with a wide variety of Asian confectionery, souvenirs, and more;
• game boards from the Living Chest game store anti-cafe, which offers not only the opportunity to immerse oneself in the fascinating world of role-playing games, but also to play some of the most popular board games in the world and purchase favourite titles;
• Alley of Authors, art pieces, workshops, and other forms of entertainment.
