Conference in Košice

International Conference "”Mathematical Modeling and Computational Physics” " (MMCP 2011) is held on July 4-8, 2011 in Košice, Slovakia. It is organized by Laboratory of Information Technologies of JINR, Institute of Experimental Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Technical University of Kosice, University of Paul Josef Shafarik and Union of Slovak Mathematicians and Physicists.

Traditions live on

MONDAY, on 4th of July 2011, VI International Student School on Nuclear Physics Methods and Accelerators in Biology and Medicine began its work at JINR. About 60 students from engineering, physics, biology, and medicincedepartments from universities in Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, France, New Zealand,have participanted in the School. Faculty of the School iare also international: lecturers come from universities of Bulgaria, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Sweden, and from JINR. Students will learn about modern trends in nuclearphysics methods, and particle physics, nuclear medicine and radiobiology, radiation detectors, and other topics.

Workshop to open in BLTP

–On 23 July «, International Laboratory Workshop Supersymmetries and quantum symmetries » – SQS’2011– will be held at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. Meetings in this series, which have become traditional, are held on the initiative of reknown Dubna’s theoretical physicist, professor Viktor Ogievetsky (1928-1996), and welcome leading specialists in this field.
