Conference “Condensed Matter Research at the IBR-2” in FLNP
News, 06 October 2020
From 10 to 16 October, the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna will hold the International Conference “Condensed Matter Research at the IBR-2”.
The theme of the Conference is interdisciplinary and covers studies in the fields of condensed matter physics, chemistry, biophysics, material sciences, engineering, and Earth sciences conducted with the use of neutron scattering. At present, 200 experiments per year are performed by scientists from more than 20 countries at IBR-2 instruments in the framework of the scientific programme and the User Programme. These traditional Conferences aim to discuss acquired experimental results, determine the promising fields for scientific research and improve experimental instruments at the IBR-2 reactor.
Previous conferences of 2014, 2015, and 2017 brought together scientists from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, the Slovak Republic, and Vietnam. It is expected that the Conference in 2020 will welcome even more participants.
In the conditions of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event will have the video conference format. More details about the event are available on the website.
