The competition for the Prizes of the President of the Russian Federation in the fields of science and innovations for young scientists was announced. The Presidential Council for Science and Education will assess documents for the competition until 15 October 2018.

The Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the fields of science and innovations for young scientists is the highest recognition of the merits of young scientists and specialists to society and the state. Four prizes are awarded annually.

The Prize of the President of the Russian Federation is awarded:

• for the results of scientific research that greatly contribute to development of natural and technical sciences and humanities;
• for development of prototypes of new equipment and advanced technologies that provide development of economy and the social sector as well as strengthen defense capacity of the state.

The Prize of the President consists of monetary reward, a diploma, a badge of honor of the winner of the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation and a certificate to it, as well as a pin of the winner of the Prize.

The Prize can be awarded to one young scientist or to a team of young scientists consisting of not more than three people.
