On 21 March 2017, Bulgarian staff members of JINR invite their colleagues and friends to the JINR Cultural Centre “Mir” to take part in the celebration devoted to the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman yoke. On the occasion of this national celebration an opening of the exhibition “Establishment of Bulgarian independence: 1908-1916” which will be open until 28 March 2017 and devoted to the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman yoke and the proclamation of the third Bulgarian Kingdom will be held.

The programme of the evening also includes memories of authors of the discovery “Regularity of change of the radius of strong interaction of protons at high energies”, made by them together with colleagues from LHE (VBLHEP at present) JINR, IHEP and LINP (PNPI at present) with participation of Bulgarian scientists Velko Zayachki and Pavel Markov.

The festive events will be attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Russian Federation Boyko Kotzev and Director of the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Dimitar Tonev. Scientists from VBLHEP will share their memories about the story of the discovery and their Bulgarian colleagues.
