Representatives of Dubna took part in the solemn celebration of the Day of Russian Science in the House of the Government of the Moscow Region on 8 February 2016.

The event was attended by the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region – Minister of Investments and Innovations of the Moscow region Denis Butsaev, mayors of science towns of the Moscow region, as well as young scientists, leaders and employees of scientific centers. For participation in the event on the Dubna side, the Dubna city administration formed a delegation composed of JINR employees, students, and teachers of the “Dubna” University, school teachers, employees of EDB “Raduga”, representatives of the Dubna media.

In the course of the festive event, a scientific team from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, led by Denis Kozlenko, was awarded a Commendation of the Governor of the Moscow region for the fruitful scientific activity, major contribution in implementation of the state science and technology policy and on the occasion of the Day of Russian science

Scientific researcher of the Laboratory of Information Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research Alexander Ayriyan was also awarded a Commendation of the Governor of the Moscow region.
