Biblionight 2025

On 26 April 2025, the JINR Universal Public Library will host the next Biblionight. The topic of the meeting is Interstellar Travel.
The programme includes:
- 2:30 PM – Human in Space lecture;
- 5:00 PM – movie marathon: Star Wars in English;
- 5:00 PM – What We (Don’t) Know about Our Universe lecture (speaker: Dmitry Fursaev);
- 5:30 PM – Tasting Book Dishes: discussing book excerpts like Michelin-starred restaurants (registration is required);
- 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM – touring the storage with employees of the library’s adult area;
- 6:00 PM – Cozy Macrame Star master class (registration is required);
- 6:30 PM – lecture and conversation on sewing by Natalia Malkova (admission is free) + master class (registration is required);
- 7:00 PM – carpet embroidery master class (registration is required);
- 7.00 PM – book game by Just Ъ: test your knowledge in books, songs, and film adaptations (registration is required);
- 8:00 PM – Applied Mythology quest: gather heroes and compose your own myth;
- 8:00 PM – AI fortune-telling: what do neural networks predict?;
- 9:00 PM – Open Air Poetry: reading poetry aloud under the stars;
- in addition: Star Photocross and Halley’s Comet interactive activities, “How much of a star are you?” bingo and quiet corners for those who enjoy peace and silence.
Children’s activities, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM:
- 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM – Blokhinka Star quest for children 10+ (or younger, with adult supervision; registration is required: at 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM);
- 2:00 PM – SmART Classes meeting for children 8-9 years old;
- 3:30 PM – Sea Stars sewing master class by Natalia Malkova, for 7-9 year olds (registration is required);
- 5:00 PM – Let’s READers 7-9 year olds.
