AYSS seminar series in JINR Scientists’ Club

Seminars

The Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR continues a series of seminars that are held in the hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6, Joliot-Curie street, left side) on Thursdays at 4:00 PM.

Alexey Aparin (VBLHEP) will make a presentation “Heavy ion physics: How experiments are conducted at high energies”. The speaker will answer the following questions: What does relativistic nuclear physics do? What can we learn by colliding cores with each other? How much do the collisions of protons and nuclei differ? Does the principle always apply: “The higher the energy, the better?” What is a “quark-gluon plasma”? What other discoveries are possible in the foreseeable future in this field?

This time, there will be a small coffee break at 4:00 PM, which precedes the seminar.

If you are going to join the event of 26 May, please fill out the registration form via the link not later than 4:00 PM 25 May.
