AYSS seminar at JINR Scientists’ Club
Seminars
On 2 April 2025, at 4:00 PM, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists at JINR invites everyone interested to the next seminar that will take place in the Big Hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St, left side).
VBLHEP Sector Head Dmitry Krivenkov will deliver a presentation titled “Hypernuclei research experiments: brief overview”.
The intrinsic strangeness of nucleons and nuclei interests the researchers all over the world. The study of hyperons and hypernuclei, along with their formation and interaction with other particles, not only helps to better understand the structure of nucleons and nuclei, but explains the existence of such objects of the macrocosm as neutron stars. The presentation is devoted to the main areas of research in hypernuclei and hyperon physics in the context of the ongoing experiments. The results obtained at CERN, J-Park, JLab, JINR, etc. will be shown.
The following issues will be considered:
- Neutron stars or compact objects?
- Superneutral nuclei or glue for neutrons?
- What about Dubna?
