On 22 December 2019, a New Year reception of the Head of the Dubna City Administration Maxim Danilov took place in the Cultural Centre “Oktyabr”. Milestones of the expiring year were traditionally summed up at the event; significant achievements of enterprises and organizations of the science city and the most active Dubna citizens, who had made a significant contribution to the development of our city in the past year, were noted. Among them, there were representatives of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

Vladimir N. Lomakin, Director of the Sports Complex of the Social Infrastructure Management Office, was awarded a Badge of Honour “For merits to Dubna”.

Boris N. Gikal, JINR Chief Engineer, received the commendation by the Governor of the Moscow Region.

The Honorary Diplomas of the Mayor of the Dubna city were awarded to Victor A. Matveev, JINR Director, and Vladimir D. Kekelidze, Acting JINR Vice-Director for the NICA megascience project and Director of the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics.
