Director of the Laboratory of Information Technologies JINR Prof. Vladimir Korenkov was a member of the programme and organizing committees of the Conference.
According to organizers, more than 400 people from various countries registered for the Conference. Participants discussed the software and hardware design, solving large tasks, application of supercomputing technologies in industry, exaflop computing issues, supercomputing education, methods of big data processing and many other topics.
Two days of the Conference were full of supercomputing events: there were scientific sections, an exhibition, seminars, workshops, round tables. The Conference catered to the interests of a wide range of representatives from science, industry, business, education, government, and students – anyone connected to the development or the use of supercomputing technologies.
Leading specialists famous in the fields of the development and software design for supercomputers were invited to participate. Among them, there was Head of the LIT Sector of Algebraic and Quantum Computing Prof. Vladimir Gerdt who made a report “Quantum information technologies: current status and prospects of their applications”.
On 23 September, the seminar “Instrumentation and technologies for the efficient operation of supercomputing centres” was held at which the report “Monitoring system of MICC” was presented by the working group of A. S. Bulatov, Yu. A. Butenko, I. A. Kashunin, N. A. Kutovsky (LIT JINR), M. Vala (Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, Slovakia).
