Аннотация:

The pseudogap (PG) state in underdoped cuprates remains the key mystery for the understanding of those compounds. In the present collection of works, the unusual physics observed in the underdoped superconductors is explicitly accounted for within a new Kondo-Heisenberg representation of the underdoped t-J model. The main conclusion that follows from this new approach is that the local no double occupancy constraint is at work to full extent in this regime. As a result, we conclude that the essential physics behind the PG phase is driven by strong electron correlations.
