Seminar topic: “Numerical study of superconducting processes and physical characteristics in multiparameter models of Josephson structures”
Speaker: Maxim Bashashin
Abstract:
The dissertation presents methods, software packages, and results of a numerical study of physical processes under the influence of various parameters in Josephson systems. Numerical studies are characterised by a significant amount of calculations, thus requiring the use of parallel computing methods and technologies to improve computer modelling performance.
As a result of the numerical study based on the developed methods and programs, it is shown that taking into account the capacitive and inductive coupling between neighbouring junctions in the system of long Josephson junctions “superconductor – insulator – superconductor” inspires the appearance of new mixed multifluxon states, which is reflected in the current-voltage characteristic structure. For the model of a point anomalous ϕ0 junction “superconductor – ferromagnetic – superconductor” with the spin-orbit coupling in the ferromagnetic, a periodicity of magnetic moment reversal domains on the plane of model parameters is demonstrated, and the influence of various parameters on the structure of these domains is studied.
