Seminar topic: “Study of the strong coupling constant αs(q2) of π– and K0 mesons and protons from π–+p, π–+C interactions at 40 GeV/c”
Speaker: Tseepeldorj Baatar (Institute of Physics and Technology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences)
Abstract:This paper is devoted to the production of π– and K0 mesons and protons from π–+p → π–+X and π–+C → π–, K0, p+X interactions at 40 GeV/c. It is well knowing fact that the exact value of the cut parameter ΛQCD plays very important role in obtaining the correct values of the strong coupling constant αs(q2). In this paper we have tried to obtain the exact values of the cut parameter ΛQCD of αs(q2). As a result of our analysis the square of the cut parameter ΛQCD of the running coupling constant is determined by the following formula,
ΛQCD2 = (cℏ)2[GeV2] = 0.0388[GeV2] или ΛQCD = √0.0388[GeV2] = 0.197[GeV]
The values of αs(q2) with this new cut parameter obtained in this paper are compared to the QCD calculations and the agreement between the experimental data and theory is good. So, this procedure used in this paper gives us the possibility to obtain the exact value of the cut parameter ΛQCD of the running coupling constants αs(q2).
