Abstract:

In the context of gauge/gravity duality, we consider a renormalization scheme for Einstein-AdS gravity, based on a proper embedding of General Relativity with negative cosmological constant in Conformal Gravity. In point of fact, by applying a holographic mechanism in 4 and 6 dimensions, which reduces Conformal Gravity to its Einstein sector, the Einstein action appears naturally supplemented by the correct boundary counterterms.
