On 5 April 2023, at 4:00 PM, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR invites everyone to the next seminar that will take place in the hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6, Joliot-Curie street, left side).

Victoria Khalimendik, Deputy Director General for Innovations and Strategic Development of the Special Economic Zone of Technical and Innovative Type “Dubna”, will make a report “Special Economic Zone “Dubna” as a tool to develop high-tech business in Russia”.

Taking into account the high scientific and technical potential of the Dubna science city, the Government of the Russian Federation decided to create the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Technical and Innovation Type “Dubna”. SEZ was aimed at the development of high-tech innovative industries using the latest technologies.

At present, SEZ is not only a tool for attracting off-budget investments to implement high-tech innovative projects, but it is also a platform for the development of technologies and products aimed at providing technological sovereignty of the country. The main directions of SEZ are medical and technical direction, information technology, nuclear and physical technologies, complex technical system design.

Taking into account the geopolitical challenges that Russia has faced, SEZ focuses most of all on the creation and organization of production enterprises based on Russian technologies. At this point, SEZ sees a huge potential for cooperation with scientific organizations. Therefore, one of the most important tasks is the development of cooperation between SEZ residents and JINR researchers. Formats of such cooperation could be the following: participation of JINR researchers in the development of business production processes, in particular, the implementation of new technological solutions, organization of new innovative production units based on technologies developed at JINR, as well as work with the younger generation of the Dubna science city, mainly organization of events aimed at attracting children and youth to scientific and technical and technological business activities.

Before the seminar, there will be a small coffee break at 4:00 PM. The report will start at 4:15 PM.
