Abstract:

The seminar will review the status of the work done at the DLNP Medical-Technical Complex within the JINR Topical Plan on the topic “Biomedical and Radiation-Genetic Studies Using Different Types of Ionizing Radiation”.

An innovation centre for applied research is intended to be established according to the Strategic Plan of the Long-Term (up to 2030) JINR Development in order to conduct experimental and clinical studies in proton therapy within the cross-laboratory cooperation. In view of this, the possibility of introducing at the innovation centre some irradiation techniques already tested with the proton beam of the Phasotron accelerator will be considered.
