Seminar topic: “Range (Muon) Systems for the PANDA and SPD Experiments”
Speaker: Georgy Golovanov
Abstract:
The Range (Muon) System is one of the essential detectors of the upcoming PANDA and SPD experimental setups, which are currently under preparation at the HESR/FAIR and NICA/JINR accelerators. The Range (Muon) System provides efficient identification of muons and also can be used as a coarse hadronic calorimeter. Design and geometry modeling of the Range (Muon) Systems are presented as well as the latest results of the Range System Prototype tests.
