In line with to Observer Status of JINR at the CERN Council, JINR Director V.A. Matveev and JINR Chief Scientific Secretary N.A. Russakovich attended the 176th session of the Council on 19 June 2015. V.A. Matveev made a presentation on the JINR scientific programme wich was met with great interest.Two protocols on the General cooperation agreement between CERN and JINR were signed the same day: on PARTICIPATION BY JINR IN THE LARGE HADRON COLLIDER PROJECT (LHC) and on COLLABORATION AND COMMON DEVELPOMENTS IN THE AREA OF NEUTRINO PHYSICS AND TECHNOLOGY, AS WELL AS IN RELATED FIELDS.
