The Armenian group in Dubna celebrated the Independence Day of Armenia in the Centre of Culture “Mir” on the eve of 21 September.

The ceremony was opened by the leader of the Armenian national group of JINR staff members Eh. Airian. JINR Vice-Director M.G.Itkis and Assistant Director G.M.Arzumanyan congratulated the Armenian Diaspora in Dubna on behalf of the JINR Directorate. G.M.Arzumanyan announced warm regards of JINR Director A.N.Sissakian, who was in Kyev, to his countrymen. Kyev was the next city that picked up the baton of celebration of the centenary of the birth of Academician N.N.Bogoilubov. The celebration of the Armenian Diaspora was honored with the presence of Scientific Leader of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions Y.Ts.Oganessian and JINR Vice-Director R. Lednický.

The premiere screening in Dubna of the documentary film “10 miracles of Armenia” was coincided with the celebration. The film was made by the Center of Folk Arts and Crafts of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia.

The representatives of other JINR national groups, town administration and all who are interested in life of always friendly to us Armenia took part in celebration together with the Armenian group.
