Ambassador of Egypt in RF Dr. Alaa Elhadidi accompanied by Cultural Counsellor Professor Magdi Elias Fares Somoul and Counsellor of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Moscow visited JINR on 3 June 2011.

The guests participated in closing of the Practice for young researchers from Egypt at JINR, which had been held in the JINR University Center for three weeks. The Ambassador presented with his own hand certificates of successful finishing the practice to students, and expressed his confidence in great prospects of cooperation between Egypt and JINR. The guests were acquainted with activities of the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems in proton therapy and shown the sights of Dubna. JINR Vice-Director R. Lednický, JINR Chief Scientific Secretary N.A.Russakovich, Director of JINR University Center S.Z.Pakulyak, ICD Coordinator of Egypt-JINR cooperation E.V.Pryanichnikova met the guests on the JINR side. The Ambassador showed a great interest in fundamental and applied research at JINR and expressed his wish to visit Dubna again in the nearest future.
