A traditional summer practice was opened at the Conference Hall of the Laboratory of Information Technologies on 13 July 2011 with a survey lecture of JINR Chief Scientific Secretary N.A.Russakovich, who acquainted participants of the Practice with the major directions of JINR activity, its history, present days and future. About 70 students from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic participate in the practice this year.

Substantial acquaintance with JINR laboratories was held during subsequent plenary meetings. Participation of students in specific research activities is the major part of the Practice.

The Summer International Student Practice will be held in JINR on 13-31 July 2011.
