Today, on 25 August 2017, the Order № 1792-р of 23 August 2017 of the Government of the Russian Federation was published. This Order grants the right of JINR to independently award academic degrees.

JINR Director, Academician Victor Matveev, congratulated the whole staff of JINR on this important event. He also noted that this is the greatest confidence reposed in the name of the Institute, which have to be justified by the attentive and responsible implementation of this Order, primarily, on the basis of the requirements to the quality of dissertations presented for defense and enhancing the prestige of defended dissertations.
