International Workshop SQS’2017
News, 27 July 2017
On 31 July – 5 August 2017, the International Workshop Supersymmetries & Quantum Symmetries (SQS’2017) will be held in the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of JINR. These biennial SQS workshops has become a traditional; the series was initiated by the famous theoretical physicist from Dubna, the laureate of the Tamm and Humboldt, Professor, Victor Isaakovich Ogievetsky (1928 – 1996). The Workshop gathers leading experts in the thematic field. This year, 89 scientists from 17 countries will attend the SQS’2017 Workshop.
Since 1989, on the initiative of Professor V.I. Ogievetsky, workshops “Supersymmetry and quantum symmetries” (SQS) have been held in the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. In 1993, the Workshop gained international status. Since 1996, following death of Viktor Isaakovich, SQS meetings have been held every two years, in commemoration of an outstanding contribution of this remarkable scientist in theoretical physics. Topics of the Workshop traditionally include the areas of research that were especially interesting for V.I. Ogievetsky; they are such as string theory, quantum groups, grand unified theory, etc. This set of issues remains the focus of attention for all involved in modern theoretical physics.
The main topics of the SQS’2017 are String Theory, Quantum and Geometric Aspects of Supersymmetric Theories, Higher-Spin Theories, Supersymmetric Integrable Models, Quantum Groups and Noncommutative Geometry, Standard Model and Its Supersymmetric Extensions.
