A delegation from JINR consisting of V.V. Voronov, I.A. Golutvin, D.V. Kamanin, V.I. Korobov, V.N. Shvetsov participated in ceremonial events dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy (INRNE) on 18-19 October 2012 in Sofia.

During an international scientific seminar guests of the meeting were acquainted with an overview of international scientific cooperation of INRNE; cooperation with CERN and JINR was among the main topics of presentations.The official INRNE greeting ceremony, which began with a presentation of INRNE Director D.Tonev about INRNE history and present days, was held on the second day. In numerous congratulations, it was emphasized that INRNE celebrates its 40th anniversary being in top form. D.V.Kamanin presented a greeting address of JINR. Deputy Chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of Bulgaria L. Kostov received the JINR delegation. Urgent issues of participation of Bulgaria in JINR were discussed during the meeting.
