Seminar topic: “Mathematical models and methods for organizing distributed computing and their implementation”

Speaker: Pavel Pavlov (Polessky State University, Belarus)

Abstract:

Within the framework of the mathematical model of the system of distributed interacting competing processes under conditions of competition for the use of a limited number of copies of a structured software resource, the problems of determining the minimum total time for implementing specified volumes of calculations are solved, a comparative analysis of mathematical relationships for calculating the total execution time of a set of distributed processes is carried out, taking into account and depending on additional system costs, criteria for the efficiency and optimality of identically distributed systems of competing processes are formulated, criteria for the efficiency and optimality of structuring software resources are determined, a method for finding the optimal number of processors is proposed, an algorithm for constructing an optimal layout of blocks of a distributed system is proposed.
