On 16 December, the Republic of Kazakhstan, a JINR Member State, celebrates one of its main national holidays, the Independence Day.

Kazakhstani research institutes and universities cooperate with the Joint Institute on 14 topics of the JINR Topical Plan. Scientists of the republic are engaged in scientific work in all the JINR laboratories, actively participate in the flagship megascience projects of the Institute such as the NICA Accelerator Complex, Baikal-GVD Neutrino Telescope, development of the JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex and experimental facilities of the IBR-2 Reactor, implementation of the DRIBs-III Project, synthesis of superheavy elements, theoretical physics, and JINR scientific and educational programmes.

The Directorate of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research congratulates colleagues and partners from Kazakhstan as well as their loved ones on the Independence Day and wishes them good health, well-being, happiness, and new professional successes for the benefits of science and progress!
