Abstract:

To perform the polarisation research programme in the NICA Complex, it is necessary to solve the problem of the proton polarisation preservation, which is related to the spin resonances crossing during beam acceleration. The partial snakes based on solenoidal and transverse magnetic fields provide the preservation of proton polarisation in the Nuclotron over the whole energy range. The possibility of preserving proton polarisation in the NICA collider using a Siberian snake based on dipole magnets is discussed. A scheme of proton polarisation preservation in the NICA collider employing an additional figure-8 shape ring is considered.

Based on the results of the work of MIPT (Dolgoprudny) and NTL “Zaryad” (Novosibirsk).
