AYSS seminar at JINR Scientists’ Club
Seminars
On 23 October 2024, at 4:00 PM, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists at JINR invites everyone interested to the next seminar that will take place in the Big Hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6, Joliot-Curie street, left side).
JINR Chief Scientific Secretary Sergey Nedelko will deliver his report “Confinement”.
The speaker will present some of the interpretations of the confinement phenomenon in quantum chromodynamics accumulated over the 60-year history of the existence of the quark model and describe this phenomenon through a comparison of various theoretical approaches. The special relevance of studying the confinement mechanism in strong interactions is evident due to the growing number of accelerator experiments with relativistic heavy ions. The programme of these experiments focuses on the study of critical phenomena in hadron matter under extreme conditions, including the programme of the NICA Accelerator Complex under construction at JINR.
