3 October marks the Day of German Unity, a national holiday of the Federal Republic of Germany, an Associate Member of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

In 2024, German scientists are involved in 19 topics of the JINR Topical Plan. Cooperation is developing in theoretical research, neutron, neutrino, nuclear, and particle physics as well as in other areas.
