On 10-14 September 2024, JINR hosted the 4th Science School for Students of the Children’s University of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. Throughout the week, the schoolchildren enjoyed getting introduced to the laboratories of the Institute and participating in hands-on physics workshops at the JINR University Centre.

The guests visited the JINR Main Facilities interactive exhibition and the Laboratory of High Energy Physics, where they got acquainted with the NICA Megascience Project. In addition, the school’s programme included a friendly visit to the Kadyshevsky Physics and Mathematics Lyceum and a trip to Moscow.

The event concluded with a lecture by UC Director Dmitry Kamanin, a discussion of the school results and prospects for students and young scientists at JINR, and the awarding of certificates and memorable gifts to the participants.
