By decree of the President of Russia dated 6 September 2024, JINR Vice-Director, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Latchesar Kostov was honoured with a state award, the Order of Friendship, for his great contribution to strengthening the Russian-Bulgarian partnership in nuclear energy and the development of intergovernmental cooperation in fundamental and applied research.
